Ministry Update

Here’s an update… SYATP was awesome this year… Rudd Middle School had somewhere around 125 students. Praise God! ”Compassion Sunday” went great… 27 of the 30 children found sponsors!

We wrapped up our 09/10 theme of “Love God, Love Others, Serve People”… we completed 22 Ministry Opportunities in the year. Our 10/11 theme is from 1 Samuel: “Speak, for your servant is listening.”

We’ve started a new study in Revelation… Join us on Wed. nights at 6:00 as we study this amazing book. You’ll be blessed if you come (Rev. 1:3).

We hosted Teen Challenge in mid-October, it was an amazing service; we also attended YouthQuake, and Revelation Walk.

We’re focusing on upcoming missions opportunities in Uganda and Nicaragua. We’ll be sending goods to an orphanage in Uganda and we’ll be going to Nicaragua in June 2011, see Eric to complete a Missions Application.

Some upcoming events are: the Youth Camping Trip (Nov. 19-20) and the Refresh Winter Retreat at Camp Sumatanga with Adam Robinson and Ohio Avenue (Dec. 30-Jan.1). Don’t miss it!

Ministry Opportunity #22

Here’s the latest student ministry news.

We had a great 5th Quarter on 9/17. Cleveland, Oneonta, and Pinson Valley all won! There were lots of students playing basketball and dodgeball. Thanks to everyone who came out.

Our 22nd Ministry Opportunity is coming up on Sunday 9/26. It is “Compassion Sunday”. We are seeking to get 30 children sponsors. For just $38 a month a child can be supported, we’d encourage you to sign up today! For more information check out the link to the right… Have Compassion!
